I picked up the Kodak EasyShare Z730 Digital Camera as a Christmas present from Best Buy on special. Selling for $179.95, it advertised that this was a $70 discount from its normal price of $249.95. The price is of course what drew me to this particular camera, because when I saw that it was a 5... Read full review »

The 5-Megapixel Kodak EasyShare Z730 cost me $209, including shipping, which is slightly less than what I paid for the Kodak EasyShare Z760. The camera features 4x optical zoom and large 2.2-inch LCD screen.

Koday EasyShare Z730
When I was asked to supply a couple of photos for the big city paper that is in our area for an article they did on me, I was so excited- and then I realized that my ancient digital camera did not have enough megapixels to manipulate easily so that it could be used to... Read full review »

Pros Great Picture Quality, Tons of Features, Easy to Use, Price
Cons Wheel and Joystick control takes getting used to

I purchased the Kodak Z730 as a Christmas present for my mother. My mother loves to make scrapbooks and takes tons of pictures to document each memory for her books. Until now she has insisted that the quality of digital photos is horrible and that the quality of the digital prints is even worse... Read full review »

Cons Substandard video. Poor build quality.

A little over one year ago I was in the market for a digital camera, it was around the time of one of the major sales periods (Labor Day, I believe), and this Kodak Easy Share Z730 was at an agreeable price. I purchased it and have been fairly happy with it--save a few nagging issues--until the... Read full review »

Kodak Z730. Just buy it, you don't need anything else, honest!

Pros 5MP, 4x optical-zoom, HUGE array of features you may not ever even need! Affordable too!
Cons It can't cure the common cold.
Recommended it? Yes

I'm here to just add a simple, honest opinion on this fabulous camera. I will not get into all of the specs and features, as I do not believe people read these for that purpose, they read these reviews for hands-on proof of whether or not they should buy a particular product based on what... Pros Taught me a lesson about Kodak quality
Cons Poor controls, flimsy, Poor warranty service---none

I bought this camera less than 2 years ago. It was my second digital. It is a piece of junk! The wheel switch to turn the thing on is hard to turn and often goes beyond where you want it. A few months in I noticed I couldn't blow my pictures up to 8x10. The resolution wasn't good enough! Then the... Read full review »

Pros Ease of use Lens accepts filters, aux lens, etc
Cons After two years: none

I often hesitate to write reviews within 6 months from date of purchase. I prefer to wait until the honeymoon is over for a more objective review.

In the case of the Z730, I could have written it the very first day. This camera is the best all around camera I've ever owned. This statement... Read full review »

Cons Kodak uses the word "Night" photography and this camera cannot do it!

You get all that you pay for and more. That's what VALUE is all about. When I researched digital cameras in the price range of $200 - $250, I discovered far fewer choices than expected. I'm a member of Consumer Reports online and they gave the Z700 series a CR Best Buy. One of the reports in a... Read full review »
