I got what I paid for

byluvmy357mag Dec 15, 2004
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Small size; uses AA batteries, uses SD card, easy menu system, one-touch playback button.
Cons Slow autofocus; poor low-light performance, long shutter lag, inconvenient lens placement.
Recommended it? No

I bought this camera because it was cheap, it used AA batteries, and it used an SD memory card. Too bad it didn't live up to my expectations.
I take photos only on vacation or for family occasions, so I didn't need a fancy camera with a all the bells and whistles. I only expected the camera to... Read full review »

Konica-Minolta X-31 "Pocket Size Camera At A Bargain Price"

byshenb May 7, 2005
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Small size easy to drop in pocket, Good optics, Takes very sharp closeups.
Cons Hard to focus in dark shots, Slow flash, Tricky lens placement, Lacks optical viewfinder
Recommended it? Yes

If you need a very small camera that still takes good pics this is it. I purchased this as a 2nd digital camera (my other camera is a Minolta S-414)so I always had one in my pocket ready for a quick shot. This camera should not be your only one but makes a great 2nd. I recomended this to my sister... Read full review »

good but not great

byaofi Sep 9, 2004

Pros AA batteries, small/compact/light, inexpensive, fewer buttons, and fast.
Cons Can't focus in low light. Flash is pointless. Plastic case (the original dimage were...

Where do I start? (see last edit at the bottom first)

It uses AA batteries and this is good because you can buy them anywhere, and you can use rechargeables. Bad because you burn through them fast and you can only use Ni-MH rechargeables and not rechargeable alkaline batteries (that have... Read full review »

Terrible Image Quality

Pros Good price, standard memory and batteries, sleek pocketable size, good build quality
Cons Terrible image quality, poor low-light performance
Recommended it? No

When I opened the box, I was excited from getting my latest gizmo. After all, the specs and the camera look great. I liked it immediately for it's extremely pocketable size, use of standard AA batteries, 3.2MP resolution, sleek design, and low price. Trying it out, I noticed that it was fast and... I Love It

2 Helpfuls 3 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Price, size, picture quality
Cons LCD screen washes out in bright sun light
Recommended it? Yes

I had several criteria when I purchased this camera. First, I wanted a cheap camera to keep with me at all times. A camera that did not cost too much if I lost it in the confusion of my daily work routine or hectic vacation routine. Second, I wanted a camera that is small enough to fit into my... Much Better Quality Cameras Than This

byrkparrott Aug 8, 2006
3 Helpfuls 4 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Survived a dunk in the swimming pool
Cons Slow, eats up batteries, not a bargain compared to price of higher powered cameras today
Recommended it? No

This is the second Konica camera I have owned, so I was hoping for better marks but am sorely disappointed with the performance of this camera. I bought it two years ago for the same price as what 5-7 megapixel cameras are going for today ($150-$175). I would definitely recommend for anyone to go... Read full review »

Dimage X31

Pros Cool freatures, compact, uses 2x AA batt, not to many buttons, good menu fatures.
Cons Digital Zoom is kinda weak but, 4x zoom is sufficient for point and shoot.
Recommended it? Yes

Easy to use point and shoot. Reading the manual really helps. Fast "loading" time and when using a good memory card, you can hardly see any lag time (except when using flash). Using the flash, like any good camera, you'll expect some lag time in order to recharge the flash. Good camera, good... Read full review »
