Warmed Over Miracles
There were three remakes of the classic 1947 film Miracle on 34th Street. One was a theatrical release while the other two were made for TV versions. While each took a slightly different approach ? some came closer to the magic of the original than others.
1955 Made-for-TV [Black & White]...

Miracle on 34th Street
With Christmas fast approaching, I thought it would be appropriate to review one of my all-time favorite movies that just so happens to be a Christmas film. I am speaking of ?Miracle on 34th Street.? Not the original starring Maureen O?Hara, but the early 90s remake of the same name.

Not as good as the original, but still enjoyable
The original ?Miracle on 34th Street? has always been one of my favorite Christmas movies. Every year, it is on my ?must see? holiday re-viewing list. This latest incarnation of that classic story is not in the same league as the first one, but it is still an enjoyable film and a fine addition to... Read full review »
Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
"Miracle on 34th Street" is, of course, a remake of the 1947 classic. It is a risky business filming a new version of a famous movie. Being that I loved and still...

Heartwarming and delightful
Miracle on 34th Street is a re-make of an old classic, but I believe it should be reviewed as a film of its own right, an entirely different film. I have to say that every time I watch this film I turn into a complete softy and it brings a tear to my eye.
This film is made with the...

The Real Deal
Time and again this story has been redone. Somebody who doesn't believe in Santa Claus tries to destroy the spirit by hurting Santa Claus. But nobody can remake Miracle On 34th Street because it is the true Christmas story and it is perfect.
If you haven't seen the movie it has the...

I have disliked the remakes of this movie. The actors are pallid compared to the original. They do not seem convinced of the wonderful possibility that Santa could be real.
Santa Clause in this movie is no one I would want sneaking into my house in the middle of the night via chimney, with a...

This is s staple in our Christmas Traditions
Every year, on the first Saturday in December, my family gathers around our newly decorated Tree with hot chocolate, rice crispy squares, and this movie. It is just not Christmas with out Miracle on 34th street.
A remake of the classic 1947 movie, this movie opens up a beautiful story for...
