Great beginner DSLR
I've had this camera for about two years and I am very pleased with it. I only paid around $280 for the whole kit, which was a great value. The choice was between a Canon S3 and the Pentax, and I went for this K100D and still haven't regretted it.

Great for the beginner or more advanced photographer
When I walked into the camera store, I went with the intention of walking out with a Nikon dSLR. Pentax? Bahh... that's what they give grade school students in photography class. I want something decent!

Very Nice Photos
This is my first DSLR. My principal reason for buying this camera was that I had 5 Pentax lenses. excellent dslr camera
This camera has great ergonomics, user interface, and feel. Built in shake resistance (into the body, so it work with every lens), and a nice variety of pentax lenses make this a great bargain. Read full review »

I gave my Nikon D40 to my wife and upgraded to this beauty.
It features shake reduction built into the body and access to millions of legacy Pentax lenses.
