Pros Blackberry 9700 synchs with MS Outlook. Full qwerty keyboard.  3.2 megapixel camera,...
Cons It DIED less than one month after the one year warranty expired.
Recommended it? No

I like to think of myself as tech savy, but for the longest time, my cell phone has only been able to make telephone calls, take photos, and play a few games. Net surfing was limited to T-Zones to download overpriced ring tunes.  After 2 1/2 years, my old Motorola Krazer finally died. ... Read full review »

Pros Reception, Display, Functionality
Cons Pricey is unbundled in a call plan.

When my cell contract was up I, like legions of others, Franklin Squared the benefits of the iPhone vs. the Blackberry. Having had the 8310 Curve with it's quirky v4.5 software update, I was leery about going back to the Blackberry, but after kicking the tires on both models, it was a no-brainer,... Having had a contract with the same Mobile provider for 14 years, I had always alternated between Motorola and Nokia handsets, but this year I decided to get a smartphone. For many months people came up to me with their iphone's. HTC's, Blackberry's etc etc, i thought that having a phone with a... Read full review »

Intro:
I will presume the reader of this review is already familiar with or can look up the specs online, so I will focus on my user experience.

Navigation (Trackpad):
First things first...the main reason I chose this unit over the older trackball models was for its trackpad.  By... Read full review »

Cons 3g is unreliable

From using this phone since the launch date of the 9700 can give me a very honest opinion and review. Being an upgraded model from the 9000 gave it better upgrades from the older bold sleeker slimmer and has the optical track pad.

I fell in love with this phone the first day i... Read full review »

This was my first blackberry and I was a person that only wanted aphone to be a phone.  Prior to my last phone (Motorola V365 which i loved but the hinge broke), I hated phones having cameras.  Phone should make a call and that is all a phone should do.  but I got used to the camera... After dealing with a malfunctioning BB 8900 for months (would freeze up in email and trackball constantly got stuck), I called my carrier and worked out a deal to get the 9700.  Boy was I happy when this thing came in the mail!  If I could marry it, I would.  It does all the things I... This smartphone is not going to blow you away with a lot of glitz or glamour, but it will offer you very solid, reliable performance and an excellent email interface.

The Blackberry Bold 9700 is available for AT&T and T-Mobile subscribers.  It comes with a home charger and a partially leather belt clip case. It has the same basic layout of the Blackberry as you have grown used to seeing, with a couple of exceptions.

First, it is sleeker and slimmer... Read full review »
