Pros Small, lightweight, metal clip, plenty of memory (for me)
Cons Small buttons, internal battery, adequate battery life (with poor indication),...
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this mp3 player after going through several others over the years. I paid $92 at Circuit City in March 2006 (I didn't shop around much since my previous mp3 player broke and I needed a new one). I work out 4-5 times a week (lifting weights, running, biking, etc), so I wanted something... Read full review »

First Review

10 Helpfuls 11 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Ogg Vorbis, SRS WOW effects, pure USB storage device, integrated clip, plays/records FM...
Cons relatively short battery life, can't play audio while recharging, proprietary cable,...
Recommended it? Yes

Display. The display consists of a 3 line white-on-black LCD with backlight. It can be difficult to read in full sunlight, as can any display. Samsung managed to cram as much useful information as possible into the display. You can set the display to turn off after a set time or display one of two... Read full review »

Pros Small, great sound, quality, easy to use!
Cons Cheap headphones, use another pair.
Recommended it? Yes

The main reason i wanted to get an MP3 player was so i could listen to music when i went running. I used to work at Best Buy so i pretty much could see what the better products were. Even though Ipods are the most popular players today, i could tell they were cheaply made since so many people... Read full review »

Wow, this thing is really small

bygoogam Jun 8, 2006
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Amazing size, seems very sturdy, good view screen
Cons I wish it had a full gig of memory
Recommended it? Yes

This was a Christmas gift. I was stunned at how small it is. How small? Well, the recharge/download connection doubles as the earphones connection. How slick is that?
Setup in Windows XP was simple. I didn't bother to load the accompanying software; Windows Media Player works just fine.

Think twice before buying Samsung Blue Ray......

byflyfishtex Dec 25, 2007
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Nice to look at; blue lights are cool
Cons Won't play Blue Ray discs; check the blogs and buyer beware.
Recommended it? No

I purchased the Samsung Blue Ray PD1000, and it plays regular DVDs fine; but will not play all Blue Ray discs (check the blogs). Even with the firmware "fix", problems remain. As a matter of fact, now it will not even play any Blue Ray discs. Samsung service has been less than helpful. But it is... Read full review »

Pros small, lots of cool features , holds about 100 songs
Cons software (drivers) would not load (windows2000 pro)

I had a hard time loading the drivers from the disc supplied with the unit. After fully charging it I uninstalled the software and used windows to search for a suitable driver. Using windows explorer and dragging the files over is very easy.make sure you use windows media player for file types. Read full review »
