Scent of a Woman (1992)

Al Pacino puts in a bravura performance as Lt. Col. Frank Slade, a blinded veteran who lives in a modest house out back behind his in-laws place somewhere in New England. The setting is Thanksgiving and the in-laws are going out of town so they hire a local prep... Read full review »

Unfortunately our local "Mom & Pop" video store is going out of business, but on a positive note they are selling used videos for a real steal. I purchased Scent of a Woman (1992) for only $1.00 dollar. Anytime I can get a movie starring Oscar winner Al Pacino and actor Chris O'Donnell for a buck... Read full review »

Charlie and Frank's growing relationship is the core of the film; Frank teaches Charlie how to see and Charlie teaches Frank how to feel in this heart-wrenching and heartwarming comedy. Al Pacino is simply stunning as Frank Slade relying on his vocal power and strong physicality to carry across a complex range of emotions. He is both intolerable and completely lovable in this Oscar-winning role of a lifetime.
