Scent of a Woman: Pacino's Best Vehicle!
Scent of a Woman (1992)
Al Pacino puts in a bravura performance as Lt. Col. Frank Slade, a blinded veteran who lives in a modest house out back behind his in-laws place somewhere in New England. The setting is Thanksgiving and the in-laws are going out of town so they hire a local prep...

Sentimental, Saint-hood, and the Senses.
Unfortunately our local "Mom & Pop" video store is going out of business, but on a positive note they are selling used videos for a real steal. I purchased Scent of a Woman (1992) for only $1.00 dollar. Anytime I can get a movie starring Oscar winner Al Pacino and actor Chris O'Donnell for a buck... Read full review »
The tango has never looked better
Don't let the misleading title of this movie put you off. Far from being about the way a woman smells, this is a well written movie about 2 men, polar opposites ( it would seem) each struggling with life choices. One is plagued with a moral crisis while the other is a walking crisis, yet these two... Read full review »
"HOO-AH!"
After renting this movie several times and each time being forced to return it without watching it, we finally succeeded in watching it. Mom and I went into having no idea of what the movie was about. All we knew was that it was a movie that Dad had happened upon and absolutely loved. With a title... Read full review »
Al Pacino Delivers an Oscar Winning Performance - And it Was Well Deserved
"Scent of a Woman", released in 1992, features a young Chris O'Donnell as a prep school student and Al Pacino as a blind, retired U.S. Army Colonel. O'Donnell's character, Charlie Simms, is not the typical rich prep school student. He fits the bill of being Caucasian and clean-cut,... Read full review »
Pacino is brilliant
"Scent of a Woman" contains one of the most brilliant and beautifully told stories ever captured on modern cinema. Al Pacino lights up the screen as he always does, this time playing a blind, retired US Army officer named Frank Slade. Frank lives a somewhat isolated life principally because of his... Scent of a Woman: A riveting story of hope, and redemption from despair
There are few films that I consider to be truly great. I don't mean 'great' in the pedestrian sense of "that's great." I'm talking "true greatness."
Scent of a Woman has true greatness.
It has everything that a timeless classic should have. Unforgettable characters, superb...

Lets feel good about ourselves today
There are very few movies that you would want to watch over and over again on a deserted island, but for me, I think this is the movie I would hope to bring with me. Scent of a Woman comes off as cliched and corny, but this is probably the absolute most entertaining and likable film I have ever... Read full review »
