The professional Audix MG15 is a miniature gooseneck condenser microphone designed for applications such as podium, pulpit, presentations, board meetings and teleconferencing. Known for its exceptional clarity and ease of operation, the Audix MG15 has the ability to accurately capture and reproduce vocals from a comfortable distance. The extraordinary output of the MG15 obviates the need for trying place the mic closer to the presenter, which might interfere with presentation materials, or for the presenter to pull the mic closer in order to be heard. With a wide frequency range of 60 Hz - 19 kHz, the MG15 provides a very open, natural sound with exceptional transient response. The MG15 is equipped with sophisticated dual preamp circuitry – one circuit located in the capsule housing and the other circuit built into the base of the XLR. This circuitry is internally balanced, insuring that the audio path will be isolated from hum and noise. In addition, the circuitry employs protection from RF and spurious emissions from cell phones and wireless GSM devices. The MG15 may be permanently mounted with the supplied flange mount (TM1218). The mic may also be used on a standard mic stand (with butterfly type mic clip). Manufactured to very high audio standards and tight tolerances, the MG15 features a precision machined brass body, and field replaceable capsule. The MG15 operates on phantom power of 18 - 52 Volts and is available in a non-reflective, black matte finish. In general, the microphone can be angled at 60-75 degrees towards the speaker and be 12-16 inches away from the mouth. A shorter distance can be used for a fuller sound or for weaker voices.
