Blackberry Pearl - A Great Phone To Have While Waiting for an iPhone

byjordango Feb 28, 2007

Pros Lightweight, attractive, works well, feature packed
Cons Weak battery life and screen smudges easily
Recommended it? Yes

The Blackberry Pearl is the coolest phone around - at least until the Apple iPhone comes out later this year. The Pearl is small, sleek, easy to use, fun, and works great! Aside from that, it's a Blackberry, so it does a great job with email.

About one-half the size of the Blackberry... Read full review »

Pros Easy Set Up Good enough quality and speed for at home use.
Cons I don't like the paper tray

Except for the brief use of a Dell 720 in my household that my daughter took up to school we have had excellent use of Hewlett Packard's HP722c printer for many, many hard years of labor in our home. We loved the machine but it finally died about a month ago. It was time to look for a new one.

Cons not many
Recommended it? Yes

I have been using a Palm TX handheld on the job, for many different functions, and have come to really enjoy using them. My experience with handheld devices is fairly limited, having only really used one other model in the past five years. In the world of Palms, there are always new innovations and... BlackBerry Pearl: a gem, but try before you buy

Pros Incremental but significant improvements in all important smart phone functions
Cons Really small - probably too small for some users

My first BlackBerry blew. My second BlackBerry was a significant improvement, but certainly not without warts. Now, after a few weeks using my new BlackBerry Pearl 8100, I can safely say that the folks at RIM are starting to get it... and about time. I still wouldn't characterize this device as... I purchased a Palm Tungsten T several years ago and it's in dire need of a replacement. Every time I turn it on, the digitizer needs to be recalibrated and it's getting tedious. For those who don't know what that is, think of when you sign those digital receipts when you check out at a store like... Read full review »

Cons The greasy screen, the low battery life, so-so camera.

Being a first time Blackberry user (finally!), I was not too thrilled when our company CEO announced that we were all switching to Blackberry devices at the end of 2006. I just found it spooky to see all those guys poking incessantly at their little devices all the time, everywhere.

My old printer, an Epson C42 which came free when I bought my first PC almost 4 yrs ago finally gave up the battle and has gone to that great printer heaven in the sky…ok slight exaggeration I donated it to the computer department of my college, for the students to practice fixing or to use as... Preface: I am a gadget guy and a cell phone hound. I typically get a new phone every 4-6 months. I've also pretty much been on every type of network. Currently I work at a T-Mobile store and pulled this phone out of inventory to use as my demo line.

I had been using a Nokia 6682(also... Read full review »

Goodbye to an old friend. I've been using an HP 4-Plus laser printer for the past 12 years in my graphics business. It's been a real workhorse, but all horses must be put to pasture eventually, and this thorobred's fuser finally went out after....well, I'd hate to even think about how many pages...
