Here’s a fabric that’s perfect for hot weather, in solids that effortlessly coordinate with your patterned shirts. The all-cotton fabric is lightweight and cool — it’s akin to a micro- seersucker. The 54% linen/46% cotton fabric is summer weight and soft. And the pants are versatile, with (nearly) the same design as our Original Chinos, from the button-flap back pockets to the integrated French fly, which will be familiar to men who wear our dress pants. Denim usually isn't dyed; blue jeans get their signature look from a mix of white and indigo yarn. Here, dyeing gives the denim fabric rich, uniform color. Flax — the fiber from which linen is woven — can’t be rushed, or it becomes coarse or brittle. And then couldn’t be spun and woven into this soft, silky fabric. Since the 13th century, the finest linen has been made in Ireland, and this fabric is from Baird McNutt, Ireland’s foremost linen mill. The make is exactly like our Original Chinos, so they'll go to the office, to a movie or out to dinner and look right each time.
