Planning a Winnie the Pooh Party or Playdate

Winnie the Pooh is one of the most popular children's characters and with the upcoming Disney Winnie the Pooh movie to be released in Spring 2011 he and all of his friends in the 100 Acre Wood will be even more popular.  Try these playdate and party ideas based on Winnie the Pooh to make your child bounce for joy.

Create your own 100 Acre Wood celebration with the Amscan 8' Tigger Pooh Giant Decorating Kit.  In most cases this decorator kit reaches floor to ceiling and creates a tigger-ific play place for children from babies to preschoolers.

Music makes the world go round, so turn up the volume on this Book of Pooh.  Story time and music time add to the fun.  Try turning up the volume on a musical CD and play a game of Teddy Bear musical chairs after your introduction to Songs from Pooh.

The Winnie the Pooh Memory Game is not only entertaining but educational.  Several children can play at once matching their favorite pooh characters like Tigger, Eyore, and Roo.

These  Winnie the Pooh Bubbles came in a four pack, perfect for a small party but you can always buy more.  Hand them out as a take home treat or take the kids outside for a game of catch the bubbles.

Think sweet with your Winnie the Pooh treats.  Offer some fresh fruits and vegetables just like those in Rabbits garden.  You can even create your own yogurt dipping sauce for your fruits using plain vanilla, Honey from the Honey Bear and a dash of cinnamon.  Remember though, little ones can't have honey.

Other sweet treats to consider:
  • Teddy Grahams Snacks in Variety Pack not only means controlled portions but also cinnamon, honey and chocolate flavors.  You may even want these to become one of your take home goodies along with the Winnie the Pooh Bubbles.
  • Use Post Honeycomb Cereal to create a friendship necklace celebrating the spirit of friendship that Pooh and all his friend have.  They are easy to string and if they end up in someone's mouth that's not such a bad thing either.
  • Who can resist Honey Nut Cheerios Snack Mix?  It's almost good for you (better than many other snack mixes) and combines all the flavors you love in snack.
With these easy to do Winnie the Pooh party planning ideas, absolutely no one can say "Oh bother."
